Syracuse field hockey (7-2, 0-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) maintained its spot at No. 10 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll, which was announced Tuesday. SU dropped its second straight ACC matchup in a double-overtime loss to then-No. 6 Virginia on Friday, falling 3-2 to the Cavaliers. But the Orange bounced back Sunday with a narrow 2-1 win over No. 16 Penn State.

SU remains the fifth-highest-ranked team in the ACC behind No. 2 North Carolina, No. 4 Duke, No. 5 Louisville and No. 7 Virginia.

The Orange face No. 12 Boston College on Friday in search of their first conference win of the season. SU has won its last three games against the Eagles, all by at least two goals.
